The Korean to Thai Subtitle Editor is responsible for editing and finalizing the subtitles or other localization assets properly follow the clients’ guidelines, specification and/or company’s requirements. This is performed as proofreading and translation work. Specific tasks may vary, including but not limited to creating, reformatting, and editing subtitles.
Please note this is a full-time, in-house position.
Role Description
Check subtitled files undertaken by freelance translators
Provide constructive feedback on translation quality to translators
Translate subtitles as required by supervisor where necessary
Expectations
Always deliver assignments on time.
Follow client’s formatting guidelines correctly.
Proper spelling and transliteration, according to Thai Royal Institute Dictionary.
Extensive knowledge of Korean and Thai culture.
Great attention to details and always aim for zero redelivery.
Capabilities and Skills
Excellent command in Thai especially reading and writing
Excellent Korean writing and proofreading skills
Korean and Thai speaker
Ability to work in night shift and overtime, if required
Ability to work under time constraints and meet tight deadlines
Detail and quality oriented, proactive, positive, self-motivated, and hard-working attitudes are required
